Not really, which is why the assessment was so helpful. My weakest areas were all over the place - Reading Comp, Coordinate Geometry, and Sentence Correction (idioms). I don't think I would have been able to pinpoint those specific areas/skills on my own. Thanks lambert. Would you be able to share ...

Economist

When I took the GMAT the first time, I received (in my opinion) are pretty good score - 630. However, within that 630 my breakdown was extremely uneven; I didn't do well in the Quant section (36th percentile) but I did well in the Verbal (85th percentile). I was unsure whether or not to take the GM...

Mitch, I mean typing your responses in proper math writing:

$$\frac{x}{\left(x+y\right)}=6$$

Instead of x/(x+y)=6

Just a suggestion. It's so much easier to read.

Thanks for your answers. I'm guess I'm particularly curious if you found any patterns and lessons learned from your most common mistakes?

2. Understand your mistakes. I know so many people who just do “50 problems a day or whatever and consider that effective studying. I’d so much rather do 10 questions a day - and spend 15-20 minutes really understanding each question - than flying through them just to say I did them. Quality...

Thanks Rich. Do you have an opinion on which order is best, or how we should decide?

Thanks for putting this list together beatthegmat! I like learning what other GMAT students did to beat this test, so this is exactly the kind of thing I was looking for.

If you start reading these debriefs back to back you can spot patterns in what they did and how they approached the GMAT.

Props!
