I know what you mean about the mgmat. I took 3 of the practice tests and a gmat prep test (supposedly the best indicator of actual score). Scored 650 on gmat prep, and 630 on the 1st mgmat.... then the other day I scored a 570 on the 2nd mgmat test. The quant is extremely wordy, unlike most OG quest...

MGMAT test question simplify equation
There is a question on the mgmat practice test that requires the following equation to be simplified
5^12 - 6(5^13 - 5^12)
They simplify this to be 5^12 – 6[5^12(5 – 1)]
how did they get to the red portion?
5^13-5^12 = 5^12(5-1) ???
Any explanation would be great!

I have the MGMAT SC book. The 6 tests that are included are online. The book gives you a serial number ect.
