Hi there, Given your experience and advanced degree, it's certainly a good idea to consider part-time programs, particularly those on your list. While your undergraduate GPA is not very strong, it looks like you make up for it with your graduate GPA. The fact that you have an education and professio...

Hello sgraves, First, I think you're on the right track using the optional essay to discuss your low undergrad GPA. Some lingering questions I have are - was your undergrad a well ranked school? How long ago was this and what other academic work have you done to show your capabilities in more recent...

Hello, With the limited information you have provided, I can tell you top 25 schools like McCombs have an average GMAT score of about 690-710 or so and average GPAs of about 3.3-3.5. I know both McCombs and Fisher have Supply Chain Management concentrations, which may be your target, however I have ...

MBA23, I would offer similar advice. Unless there is something pressing, avoid trying to touch base with your interviewer prior to the scheduled interview. The last thing you want to do is come across as too forceful or desperate; it could also erroneously be interpreted as a lack of confidence. Spe...

I think your Master's degree and GPA help offset the UG college you refer to as unknown, and certainly your overall consistent GPAs and GMAT score arguably demonstrates your ability to handle the academics of a rigorous MBA program. Considering you are currently in a consulting role, albeit a techni...

Most schools in the US require that you submit your official GMAT score before considering your application complete. Schools that accept self-reporting prior to an admission decision will usually indicate so within the application itself or on their admissions websites.

Good luck!

Hello Chanman, An MBA resume for school application purposes tends to be a little different from your typical industry/job-focused resume/CV. I would keep the resume to one page if the main thing extending it to 1.5 pages is a list of your design awards. You can always add a single line that states ...

Absolutely, glad to help! You have some time as long as you don't procrastinate and run up against deadlines at the last minute. I often say, PLAN your work and WORK your plan.

Best of luck!

Ok, understood. It makes sense to narrow down your list to the schools you think are the best fit, and where you think you have chances of getting admitted. However, keep in mind people have been admitted to top schools as professional athletes, musicians, teachers and so on ie zero Fortune 500 expe...

Hello yearzack, You're right in hesitating to apply in round 1, even though your message was posted a couple of weeks ago. Most Round 1 deadlines are in the third week of September, and as you rightfully pointed out there's much more to a quality application package than GPAs and GMAT scores. You ne...

I normally don't add comments after I've provided my guidance unless there are further questions, however, I felt it important to add to this post for the original requestor. Putting myself in your shoes, these responses would make me feel like it's a contest for best sales pitches instead of advice...

I think your score is pretty good for some top 10 schools, and even moreso for the top 20-30 schools. Still, you would be better served by checking the average GMAT scores for the specific schools you mentioned, to see where you stand in comparison. Consider that retaking the GMAT has both an explic...
