Thank you Stacey and SoCalMBA! After much deliberation, I have decided to apply to the following programs: Wharton, Duke and Columbia. Although I loved Kellogg's program, I just can't imagine flying to Chicago every saturday for nearly 3 years! Same issue with Booth. I'll post back on what happens.....

Hi Stacey, Thank you so much for your timely response! I will definitely look into the Berkeley-Columbia EMBA program. I was wondering one thing about the avg. GMAT scores for part-time programs. From all the stats I have seen, these tend to be lower for part-time programs vs. full-time programs. Fo...

Thanks @lajohnson2200: I hear you. It will be really difficult to motivate myself to get myself to study for GMAT again. Especially with all the application deadlines fast approaching, I think it will be a really tough call. @Random Wok: Thanks for shining some light on the arcane GMAT algorithm. It...

Great score rkanthilal. I recently scored 47Q / 40V and ended up with a 710. I was wondering, do you remember how many questions you got right in your verbal section from your GMAT prep tests to get a score of 44 / 45? I am trying to see if I can improve on my verbal to get to a score of 44 / 45. Wh...

@Random Wok: Thanks for your reply. I do feel that if I prepare for 20 - 30 days more, I can certainly improve (at least a bit) in both the sections. One of the main concerns I have about the verbal section is that, when I scored a 40 on GMATprep, I had only made 6 mistakes in total. i.e., I had 35 ...

beat or no beat? 710 - 47Q/40V (92%)
Just took the GMAT and I feel like I came up just a bit short of what I wanted to achieve. I studied on and off for over 6 months, but only started seriously studying about a month ago. I have an engineering background, so I thought I was pretty good at quant and focused most of my energy on improvi...

I chose C. I agree with ov25's and e-gmat's explanations.
- "But" should contrast 2 sentence elements, here there's no contrast whatsoever.
- Whose is correctly modifying offenders.

I'd go with [C] too. What is the original source of the question? "Smoking habit" could be any habit that is smoking You get my drift.. the habit of smoking makes more sense.

I like the explanation by rishab1988. I'd go with too. "three years" is time, so it should be less than three years.

IMO, it is because it is concise. The part after ";" is understood to be a continuation of thought from the part before ";". In E, "the reasonis that" is just redundant.
