Hi Palak The question is of the form: to consider A and B. The 'A' here is a noun phrase: the possibility of a hostile takeover. Therefore, 'B' should be a noun phrase as well. Options A and B have a problem with pronoun 'them'. Option E changes the meaning of the sentence. Between C and D, D is cor...

Therefore, the second part of the sentence must have a subect who is getting discouraged. There are remarkable number of questions on GMAT based on this quick trick. A -> 'Searches' cannot ...

People usually recommend taking a GMAT prep test to identify weaknesses. However, I think that it's not prudent to waste GMAT Prep to identify weaknesses right at the start of your preparations. You may take paper diagnostic test in Official guide for that purpose. Once you start working on few area...

Hi Krithika You have broken it down to a good extent already and I dont see a way out of pythagoras from where you are. Just one thing, for A = 200, B cannot be 50. From hereon, you can ignore unit's digit for ease since all of the unit's digits are 0. We know that 26^2 is 676. Hence you now have to...

I just realized that you want to take the exam while you are in college. Things would be even easier them because you will have more time to spare. Still, preparation time is not the sole factor governing success in GMAT..strategy is important.

Hi I can answer the bit about GMAT exam preparation from my recent experience. If you give yourself adequate days before taking the test, it is possible to prepare for the test along with your job. You just have to carve out time and dedicate yourself during that time. Weekends will have to be utili...

Seems to be a problem with the answer choices.

Let the constant be y

therefore, x = -2y and -8 = xy. Solving for y, we get y = 2 or -2.

Hence sixth tersm = -8 multiply (2x2x2) or -8 multiply (-2x-2x-2)
From this, the sixth term can be either 64 or -64. None of the answer choices show this.

Joe Taking more gmat tests is better than other CATs. However, I would caution you against taking too many tests in last few days. You should rather concentrate on getting most out of each test. 3-4 days for every test is something which can be handled along with all the other revision that you will...

Hi Joe I understand your anxiety, something I experienced very recently. It is a common tendency to try to know what will the actual score be on the test day but unfortunately the answer is not very straightforward. One thing you have on your side is a good GMAT Prep-2 score. And I would suggest tha...

Hi The answer lies partially in your question. 'Rising' when followed by a noun acts as an adjective while raising may act as a participle. The sentence, by its meaning, conveys a result of rise in inventories. If it were raising instead of rising, it would be more appropriate to follow it up closel...

Option B: while 'it' has been..it refers to the complete phrase 'the male size increase' - not the intention here Option C: no need of 'had' here as we are not talking about anything that happened before a certain point in time Option D: no need of it in the second part, in fact 'it' leads to parall...

Hi I am not sure whether you meant [q] or |q|? Please confirm |q| is called absolute value of q and is a very important function from GMAT point of view. GMAT loves to play with the properties of absolute values. Note: |q| = q if q > 0 |q| = -q if q < 0 hence, if q is -2, |q| = - (-2) = 2. Let me kn...
