do what's in the parenthesis first, then you have 2^3^2 over 2^1
or 2^ (3^2) which equals to 2^9 / 2^1 which equals to 2^8.
you're multiplying 3 with 2, rather than squaring the 3.

1:15 is incorrect. The question is how long it would take for you to catch up with Mary after you pass the gas station. Since it took 15 minutes to catch up at 60mph, that means he has traveled 15 miles. Mary x time + 15 miles = Paul x time 50t+15 = 60t which equals 15 = 10t t=3/2 hours or 1.5 hours.

My original thought was to apply for Fall 09 or Fall 10. I wanted to see how I do on my GMAT and decide when I was going to...

is the OA = 15?
I'm assuming the question is
2^x - 2^(x-2) = 3(2^13) ?
then take out 2^x
2^x * (1 - 2^-2) = 3(2^13)
equals => 2^x * (3/4) = 3(2^13)
then that also equals 2^x * (3/ 2^2) = 3(2^13)
2^x / 2^2 = 2^13
15-2 = 13
so x = 15?
