Data sufficiency question.
What is the value of a?
(1) |a|−|b|=0
(2) |a|+|b|=0
The answer is B (statement 2 is enough) but I can't figure out why.

Data sufficiency with modulus
a and b are non-zero integers.
If |a|+|b|= 8, what is the value of a/b?
1) |a/b|=3
2) |a+b|=8
I think the answer may be C- both sufficient together. Please help!
