Hi abduabd, I'm sorry to hear about the various problems that you experienced at the Testing Center. You should file your complaint immediately (and detail it as much, and as specifically, as possible). It usually takes the investigators a couple of weeks to properly research any complaint, but if ...

Just took the GMAT today under some bizarre conditions - the staff arrived late, there were "technical difficulties" which led to the exam starting 40 minutes late, my chair broke with me in it, and I landed seated on the ground (sprained my wrist). All this was before the exam. During the...

Thanks for the response, Brian. Thankfully, I am not really worried about mental fatigue. My test date is fast-approaching (25th of April); I think it's just "the jitters".

Hello Brian, I got a 700 on the Veritas. Maybe I should clarify what I meant by "inflated". Because I didn't really do the essay or go through the motions of critically looking at the IR section, I didn't experience the same level of mental fatigue, coming into the quant secion, that I did...

Unfortunately, Brent. I don't and neither does he. Does this look like a concept that could be tested on the GMAT, though? Is this something that can be simplified and solved in under two minutes AND without a calculator?

Fractions (/ Factorials?) Problem
A friend mine who is also studying for the GMAT posted this problem in a WhatsApp group the other day. I have tried to solve this using all the tricks I know, but have come up stuck. I recognize that the denominator is essentially just consecutive [(n! - (n-3)!], but I cannot get any farther than th...

I just came across this question. Thanks, Rich, for posting the detailed response. I understand why you would chose "25 pages" for the second question. For the first, however, if I were to choose any number of pages between 27 and 30, would I not get the same result? I just want to make su...

This may be too late for you, Ckapoor0402, but the 'Total GMAT Math' book by Jeff Sackmann is the most comprehensive quant book that I have seen (and used). It goes in to extreme detail on each and every topic; felt like high school all over again.

This is excellent! I am just getting started with my preparation and will be following your advice. I purchased the suggested MGMAT books, was wondering if it is best to go through each guide consecutively, one after the other, or if i should work on all the guides at once (i.e. word translations f...

I took the Veritas practice CAT yesterday, with minimal studying and got a 700 (Q45, V41). The breakdown was 68% correct answers in the Quant section and 63% correct answers in the Verbal. Is this reasonable? What can I read into this as a level of my preparedness for the actual exam, which I plan ...
