GMATPrep: Find the constant increase per year

Hello, I am approaching the Q below in a very math way. Manually calculating the height at each year by plugging in the answer choices as the constant rate of increase, finding 1/5th the height in Year 4, adding to year 4 height and then checking to see if that matches the value I got for Year 6. I'...

GMATPrep Q: For every integer k from 1 to 10

Hello, I saw the following question in one of my GMATPrep practice CAT's, solved it by plugging in values to the point where I realized that every odd term in the sequence was positive, and every even term was negative, and that the terms were obviously decreasing (1/2, -1/4, 1/8, -1/16 and so on). ...

Retake Resources

Hello all, I took the GMAT on 22nd July, ended up with a 690 (AWA 5.5, IR 4, Q 45, V 39). I need a 720+ for the programs I am considering, and have decided to retake the test on August 30th. To provide some context, I was getting between 710-730 on the last 3 GMATPrep CAT's leading up to my test, an...

Thanks Rich! I think you're right on the non-book sources as good prep material for the retake. I discovered video explanations on http://www.gmatquantum.com 2 weeks before my test, and found them hugely helpful when I redid the OG Quant problems. Just wanted to point out that I scored a 45 on the Q...

Hi Rich, Thanks for your reply and insight, I did speak with an Admissions Counselor, and she recommended that I do try to retake and get closer to the average score for the programs I am considering. She is aware of all the pieces of my profile, and feels that my GMAT score will support my app much...

Retake Advice

Hello all, I took the GMAT today and scored a 690 (Q45, V39). Leading up to the test, my last 3 GMAT Prep CAT scores had been between 710 and 730, with my verbal consistently around 41-42. Unfortunately, it didn't play out that way on test day. Since I am looking at applying to programs where the av...

That makes sense, I think my pacing might be better addressed with timed drills versus full length CAT's. I think by quant tactics you mean reviewing plugging in, back solving and other strategies, is that right?

Really appreciate all your help Rich!
