Addressing a low quant score- mention wedding?

Hi All, I was planning my wedding and studying for the gmat at the same time. Clearly I was short on time for both. In my application essay addressing this score, should I mention the wedding planning? Without it, it seems like I'm making excuses, but with it, it might seem whiney. Thoughts? Thanks!
