Kaplan is not the best way to go...their stuff can be so misleading in my opinion. Are you using the OG stuff? OG stuff is best way to go and your GmatPrep score seems to be close.

Kaplan is just too tough usually.

I had similar experiences (especially with verbal)...the reason I replied though is one of your schools. I am also interested in Erasmus and their avg GMAT score is actually right around yours. When I posted on here confused with what to do (my score was just a bit lower than yours) I was offered th...

No doubting this is likely a legit company...it's the stupidity of veritassucks, premba and mbanobigdeal that is so amusing. If he/she came on here to sell their stuff (which they likely did), they didn't think it through. At one point tonight there are 3 posts by the names above within 10mins of ea...

LOL-how many times are you going to register under some new alias? Or is it just by some miracle that three new people to BeattheGMAT had 'great results' with MLI? I would guess a mod will be along soon to clean this POS up. You should look into a real job since you clearly have an MBA with those gr...

I had a similar issue with a LofR request. I posted on here and someone said what about vendors or people you work with outside your company that know you well? I was very lucky in that I have vendors worldwide and used one from Europe. He was very happy to do it for me and actually took a lot out o...

Thanks again Lisa. I was able to check with the school and they actually recommended the exact same thing as you (not surprisingly). They did say I could include the old letter as a third recommendation even though only 2 are required. I will just use the small space on the app form to explain why I...

Hi Lisa, Thanks for the help. I should have noted though that I do have my Director at my current job filling out a recommendation form the school provides. So this particular letter is the second letter but it does carry weight as I worked exclusively for the marketing Professors during my UG time ...

Letter of Recommendation problem

So I'm pretty much setup to apply to school choice #1 but there is one thing (not in my control) holding me back... A letter of recommendation from a former Professor I had. He originally wrote a letter for me back when I was job hunting in June of 2007 and said he would be happy to do another for m...

Honestly...I read the OG book and that was it. I practiced as part of the GMATPrep test but nothing more and got a 6.0. All you need are the basics that OG gives you-the questions are very debatable and easy to get through. On top of that they really don't even matter much unless you score under a 4...

I like this post. I was happy with my score and it is much lower than what so many of these people post but I didn't need it to be astronomically high for the schools I would like to get into. I think my work record (even as short as it is) and my previous academic history (not just a 3 hour test as...

OT but curious about verbal and non-native English speakers

I wondered this before my test and still do as I read posts on people's scores. I am interested in knowing if a study has ever been looked into or done on the following issue: I would almost argue that a non-native speaker or native speakers with foreign language skills score better on the Verbal ar...

Your note about not being a native spaker caught my eye...your English is amazing and if you never said anything I would take you for a native speaker. Even more impressive if you never had formal English classes. Nice score...I noticed your piece about recognizing both sides on the AWA and that als...

I will add my $.02... I speak English (or so I am told) as a native. I have ALWAYS scored very well in past standardized tests throughout my entire educational path. I feel like I only learned my own language better after undertaking a foreign language (German). Those English classes required throug...

Dear uncbeers, I think you are in a competitive range for your top two choices. Of course, increasing your GMAT to the program's average (or higher) will put you in a better position. Your GPA is high and you do have interesting work experience, despite the short tenure of your career. What will be...
