Since number needs to be even, only 2 and 6 can be used in the units place.

Suppose, 2 is in the units place, then number of such 5 digit numbers will be 4!

Suppose, 6 is in the units place, then number of such 5 digit numbers will be 4!

Thus answer should be 2*4! = 48

thanks..

i mistakenly took each probability as 5/12, 4/12 & 3/12 but since each step will reduce the number of balls this is incorrect.
