Re: GMAT is a scam

They make it ridiculously hard so they can make money off us! I took it 3 times, $750! And $1400 on tutoring! URGH. And still cant break a 500. Its honestly stupid that schools put so much weight on one test when there are so many other things to take in to consideration. Like my nice 3.4 undergrad...

okay. The question: On a recent trip, Cindy dove her car 290 miles, rounded to the nearest 10 miles, and used 12 gallons of gas rounded to the nearest gallon. When a person/object travels the same distance at two different speeds say a and b then the average speed is

2ab/(a+b)

here bob travels the same distance ... first half at x mph and second half at y mph then avg speed = 2xy(x+y)

time = t

distance = speed* time = 2xyt/(x+y)

RC and CR require a lot of time to master. But it can be done ... Get the powerscore GMAT CR Bible and concemtrate only on the most frequently appearing question types.

Practice from OG/GMATPrep as much as possible.

Ron, I do believe that MGMAT has its algorithm pretty close to the real one. But I have a query regarding the questions in quant section. When the real GMAT does not focus on calculation intensive steps, why does MGMAT feature such problems (I found MGMAT heavy on lengthy steps) ? Aren't we learning...
