sumidi, Yeah I outdid my GPrep scores. But there was a point in V and the Q section where I was over-confident that I was doing very well. So much so, that I wanted to end the section asap. This resulted in a lapse in conc. and I sort of missed out a couple of big CRs and problems around the 30 mark...

SYNOPSIS Numerous times before, I read similar stories before my very eyes, on this very forum, especially stories that said, “from 6*0 to 7*0”, and now I have experienced it myself and it does feel like a dream. I used to think that such stories were gimmicks, posted by the website managers to rai...

IMO B

'than is so of" doesn't sound correct. It would rather have been 'than is THAT of'.

here we are comparing the similarities and differences between two like things, so compared to is inappropriate.

Harish...I was also stumped by this question when it appeared as the 2nd question in one of my Princeton tests. Its difficult to understand as to how can an INDUSTRIAL DESIGNER be an ARTIST, because the sentence doesn't say, 'one of whom is also an industrial designer'. Lets suppose it was a BANKER ...

Good question ... bowled over... Here's what another forum replies to this question: B - incorrect - changes the meaning of the sentence - illogically suggests that imposition of an alien tax was the reason why the union acknowledged the prejudice of its english-speaking members. C, D, E - incorrect...

IMO A too....

First it sounds good and the same logic.

But I remember the GMAT Experts of BEAT THE GMAT ONCE SAID THAT THE CHANCES OF THIS KIND OF QUESTION COMING IN THE ACTUAL GMAT ARE LESS AS BOTH EXPRESSIONS DISTINGUISH A FROM B AND DISTINGUISH BETWEEN A AND B ARE IDIOMATIC.

IMO E

To separate is IDIOMATIC here...sounds better than separating..

such [adj] as [noun] is IDIOMATIC.

Here hazardous wastes serve the same purpose. Although I am reluctant to call wastes as part of an adjective. Or maybe it is an adjective clause which is also ok to use.

NVM E sounds better.

I think C includes other kinds of water like rain water percolated into the human body, water drank unintentionally while swimming etc. etc. But choice A clearly states that no, it is re...
