First and foremost, don't blame a crappy GPA on your parents not telling you it might matter someday! And definitely don't even hint at that in any part of your application. It will bite you on the butt and shows some immaturity on your part, and a lack of ability to take responsibility for your act...

Best thing to do is to call them. I don't think it would be a big issue, just bring plenty of proof you are who you said you are.

Don't use Kaplan for verbal. It's not representative of the real thing. Use Princeton Review...it's much better.

Those three official books are unique and each is worth getting.

The only other book I have used is Cracking the GMAT. I would HIGHLY recommend it. Great overview of the test and the tests themselves are really good.

Wow, really?! I had no idea that GMATPrep didn't work on Mac. That's nuts. I wouldn't be surprised if somebody's created a workaround. Trying Googling "GMATPrep" and "Mac" and see if you find anything. I haven't heard of any of the major test prep companies' tests not working on ...

Um, the GMATPrep tests are not designed to be taken that much. How many times have you taken them? Did you uninstall and then reinstall, or are you just retaking? Have you taken any other tests? You also should not be taking two tests a week. You should be focusing most of your time on OG questions,...
