I think the answer should be A
RT = 960 ---given
They say if the train traveled 12 mph slower it would have taken 20 hrs
so R * 20 = 960
so R = 48
But actual R = 12 mph slower so R = 48 + 12 = 60
B is insuff

range in May = 15000
Lowest in May = 4500
therefore highest in may = 19500
Range in June = 16500
Lowest in June = 6100
Higest in june = 22600
Therefore range for all cars sold = 22600-4500 = 18,100

I think the answer is 6
using the eqn 3n+4 (Let n = 1,2,3,4,5,6,7)
By process of elimination the answer is 6
Ex:
3*1 + 4 = 7
3*2 +4 = 10(Divisible by 5)
3*4 + 4 = 16 (Divisible by 4 and 8)
and so on till u get only 6 remaining

Sorry for the typo in the previous post
in choice D, If n is even then k cannot be odd
ex: n = 2 then k = 200

I think the answer is E
because the factors of 400 are 2^4 5^2.
So if n is odd
N = 5 or n = 25
Therefore k has to be even multiple of 2
In the case of D
N could be odd and K could still be even
Ex: n = 1 , k = 400

Easy way to solve this is by plugging in numbers We know that a hexagon is made up of 6 Equilateral triangles Assume s = length of 1 side So perimeter = 6s Let P= 36 (divisible by 6) So s = 6 Diagonal is formed by the sides of 2 of the 6 Eq triangles in the figure so Diagonal is 12 Input p =36 in th...

Is the Answer 5/8 Assume Days had 20 boxes/ worker and had 10 workers. Total boxes by Days = 200 Therefore Nights loaded 3/4 * 20 = 15 boxes per worker And Nights had 4/5 * 10 = 8 workers Total boxes by nights = 120 Fraction of boxes loaded by Days as part of whole = Part / whole = 200/320 = 5/8 Ple...

Based on the formula for a series from a previous post An = A1 + (n-1)*d The 10th and units place are changed. So the resulting numbers would be 130 and 40 (Original numbers were 310 and 400) So now we have to find the numbers between 40 and 130 that are divisible by 3 The last number before 130 tha...

I did it the same way
M = Y2-Y1 / X2-X1
Macth up the answer that you get with slope given in the stem.
If they match then the line passes thru the point. If not then it does not pass thru

Easy way to solve this problem is to plug in numbers Assume A = 10 and B = 5 A1 = ? and B1 = 10 (given a 100% increase) The ratio stays the same. So, A^2/ B = 100/5 A1^2 / B1 = A1^2/10 Solve for A1 which comes to 10* sqrt2 % Increase = (A1-A)/A * 100 = (sqrt2 -1) * 100 = 41% increase
