As far as fit goes, I'm still having difficulty with establishing this. I have a lot more research to do, but my in...

Thank you Lisa for your very helpful comments! I really appreciated it. In regards to waiting another year - I do think I'm ready to begin in 2010. I just don't know how it's going to look to the adcom, that I was only at my current employer for a 1/1.5 years. I guess that's my main concern. Just lo...

Shortlisting Schools
I'm planning to apply this fall for 2010 entry. I've begun researching schools and trying to find my "fit." So far I have 8 schools. I've heard that you should typically apply to 4-5 schools. But really, if I have the time, what's wrong with applying to 8 schools...or even 10? The only pro...

is it just bad information that i've read, or isn't it quite difficult to get into PE/VC, unless you graduate from Standford or Harvard. And even so, I've heard it's difficult for them. Not trying to discourage anyone, but I was considering this field after my MBA and my research hasn't provided muc...

hey mayonnai5e,
There was some discussion about the amount of work applications are, i.e. the # of letter of recommendations. Can't you use the same letter of recs for most schools, as long as they detail what you want, to complete your story, i.e. leadership?

my study hours varied....I had a lot of free time due to a transition to a new job, so I spent most of my time mainly practicing. Some days I would spend 4 hours, other times maybe just 2. And then some days even longer than 4! Although, often times I would go to coffee shops, and you know how distr...

530 --> 560 (Q38 V29) --> 690 (Q47 V37)!
Wrote my third attempt on Nov. 29th and scored a 690 (47Q, 37V)...Finally! What a relief! I'm so glad it's over with. I know it's not the greatest score, but considering my situation, I'm definitely happy. Although, I do feel that I can score 700+. I started to run out of time towards the end of Ver...

I understand how the equations were derived, but how does knowing that p+q= 5z + 1 sufficient to know that statement 1 (or 2) is insufficient?
Don't you still need to pick numbers and contradict the Y-N question?
Thanks!

Thanks for the info. I do write down notes for RC, but I could right more and ask myself more questions while I'm reading. Sometimes if I don't understand something I just let it go. I think I should spend just a little more time trying to comprehend it. I don't write errors down in SC, maybe I'll g...
