I choosed A too. My explanation is: First: the goal is to uncover Michaelangelo original painting. Second: the restorers decided no to remove da Volterra's painting... The question is to find how the decision of the restorers could match with the primary goal. The only way is if there is no Michaela...

IMO A. The conclusion is that type C bronze was used by 2500 BC, this because the entrance of the cave where the painting were found was blocked sicne 2500 BC. That make sense if the cave was really out of reach. But answer A tells us that there was another entrance that was clear till 1000 BC. Thus...

Hi, Same as you I hesitated between A and B, but in the end I choosed B. Answer A says that "Paper and Cardboard are not biodegradable. But it doesn't give us any clue if Paper and Cardboard are a worse or a better choice than plastic. Answer B tells us that some plastic are biodegradable. Ther...

IMO C

Hi, My answer would be C. This problem is to be solved with the classic equation: S = D / T Statement A: We do not know neither the average speed (S) nor the total time (T) it took her to reach her destination, so we can't calculate the total distance. STATEMENT A alone insuficient Statement B: we o...

My understanding

Hi,

1
1^2 + 1 = 2
2^2 + 2 = 6
6^2 + 6 = 42
42^2 + 42 = 1806
...

So (n+1) = n^2 + n

Is it an official GMAT question?

My way to solve it

Hi, I solved this problem with a logical approach rather than a mathematical one: - VIOLET = 30% BLUE + 70% RED - GREEN = 50% BLUE + 50% YELLOW So if BROWN = VIOLET + GREEN and BROWN contains 40% of BLUE, then it means that the proportion of VIOLET and GREEN are equals, thus 50% each: ( 50% of viole...

My answer both answer are necessary

Hi, Let's simplify the problem: A= only patio B= only swimming pool C= Patio and swimming pool D= Neither Patio nor Swimming Pool So 75 = A +B+C+D 48 = A + C Hence 1: allows us to know that C= 10 so it's insufficient to solve the problem alone hence 2: alone we can only find that C=D, alone this hen...

IMO E

Both parts of the sentence should have the same structure, begining with "Those of", so that leads to answer D or E.

Then again, in the two description we should have the same verbal structure, so answer E is the best choice to me...
