Thank you for your message. Business schools will not hold it against you if you take the GMAT multiple times. You can take it many times and schools only take/care about the highest score. While you will certainly want to show remarkable improvement each time you re-take, a lower score will absolut...

If you have completed a degree in English, you do not need to take the TOEFL. Were any of your degrees completed in English?

This is something you will certainly want to address in the optional essay, as it is fairly uncommon and admissions directors will want to know why you don't have a recommendation letter from your current employer.
How long have you worked at this firm? Any other work experience elsewhere?

Thank you for your inquiry. Business schools typically don't require you to take courses in accounting, statistics, economics or finance before you start. Remember, your classmates are coming from all walks of life -- a diverse set of industries and educational backgrounds -- so schools assume the c...

While I always advise clients to be as specific as possible when it comes to their short and long term goals, it is much more important to focus on the realistic specifics of your short-term goals. Your short-term goal is what business school admissions committees are most interested in, as this is ...

I would highly recommend UT Austin. When you are going back to school, and you are not going to get a license to do something, as you would in medical school or law school, prestige/rankings mean a lot, especially for that first post-MBA job. There is no board or bar to pass when your MBA studies co...

Congratulations! It looks like you are an excellent contender for a top 10 business school. A 720 GMAT and a 3.8 GPA will prove to any admissions committee that you are able to compete in the academic rigor of their program. Now, I advise you to focus on the other qualities admissions directors are ...

Thank you for your message. I would absolutely recommend re-taking the GMAT, as business schools will only take the highest score. With weak academics, it is important to focus on the aspects of the application you can control today -- that is a competitive test score, compelling essays and a strong...

Divya, I am happy to advise you on MSc programs, but I actually think you should be considering MBA programs. By the time you matriculate to business school, you could have nearly 4 years of work experience, which is right around the average for MBA programs. MSc programs don't require work experien...

I would start thinking about your essays as soon as possible. Obviously, you will want to focus on your GMAT first, and get a solid score out of the way...but then I would move on to brainstorming and content development phase of the application essays. When time is on your side, and you can spend m...

I would re-take the GMAT. Schools only take the highest score, when you apply, as that is the one they will submit for rankings purposes. When it comes to post-MBA employment, if you are required to submit a GMAT score, you only have to submit your highest score as well. At this point, you can't cha...
