Doomsday

Well, tomorow I will be taking the Gmat at 4:45pm in Oakland CA. I will either return here with an excited post with some awesome debrief or a depressed post that entails lots of sad faces.

i have the princeton review and the OG11 and the green quant. I'd say go for the OG green and purple. The princeton review is more about teaching you tricks rather than concepts. Plus, i found the green quant to be more along the lines of the GMATprep, which everyone says is the most like the real t...

I would suggest focusing on more difficult questions. This way you'll be prepared during the real test when you are in questions from more difficult bins and it will also make the easier questions seem that much more simple so you'll use even less time on them :)

A mistake Ive been making is not looking at the ones I got RIGHT. I just review the ones i've missed...

value question

DS question:
What is the value of x?
1. -(x+y)=x-y
2. x+y=2

the answer is statement 1 alone is sufficient. book explains that 1. can be reduced to 2x=0 or x=0.
i don't see how that equation can be reduced to that?? wouldn't it reduce to
-x-y=x-y
-x+y=x+y
__________
-2x=0???

thanks for any help

i know the cd rom than came with the princeton review:cracking the gmat works with my macbook, even thought it doesn't say it is mac compatible. (but i would not recommend buying that book solely because of its offered cd, i found it to be exactly what the book had already taught)
