how did you get 40 when multiply 13 1/3 by 3. I got 39.9 and if i had proceeded with that, what a mess it would've been!

what happens when you raise a fraction to a negative exponent? How do you do that? for example

gmat prep

If X is a positive integer, what is the Least common multiple of X, 6, 9

1. the least common mulitple of x and 6 is 30
2. the least common multiple of x and 9 is 45

the OA is D but i got it to be C because I thought X could be either 5 or 15.

Kaplan tests

I have been taking a kaplan course and my test scores thus far have been kap diag - 620 kap 1 - 640 kap 2 - 570 anyone know what could account for such wild fluctuations? It might not be Kaplan's fault, not like i know either way, but I think the verbal is so oooooo much harder and there aren't any practice materials out there yet because no one saw the change coming, I wrote the GMAC people. I'm not the only one out there dumbfounded, so dont blame kaplan, blame GMA...

I think everyone should write GMAC and express their concern! I have and am hoping others will too. GMAC needs to take responsibility for this as it's unethical to change the test suddenly.
