Rectangle or quadrilateral

I'm not a native speaker, so I'm not sure if there is a difference in the meaning of these two words. In german a rectangle has four right angles, and is a special form of a quadrilateral. Is it like this in american englisch ? Or is it possible that a rectangle is a parallelogramm or even a geometr...

but we do know, that it is an isosceles triangle. and if the two sides are equal it can only be a 1:1:sqr(2), right ? Or is this rule only sufficient with a right angle ?

I am asking, because I am trying to learn all the idioms in the GMAT question. I know there are other mistakes, but perhaps there could be a question in the GMAT that test exactly this idiom. If I knew "so weak as" is wrong, like I assumed, I could cross that answer out.
