I would recommend you join a course like Manhattan GMAT. Trust me you will see big leap in your scores.

690 is a good score. I think if you focus on your essays, get good professional references. You should be in good spot.

Are you making mistakes in short passage or long passage? The way i approach RC is, jot down the key points in each para like what we do in Preface and then start answering the questions. This will minimize the mistakes you are making. Note: for taking key points, you should not take more than 3 min...
