why such hard calculations its simple - 0 2 4 6 8 so av appx - 4 because of even space , now std deviation - 4 as 8-4 = 4 & 4-0=4 now add 4 4 to each deviation will be with in the range so 4 4 should answer try to understand the logic of ST deviation not just formula and heavy calculations

use C - after solve both eq, we left with (x-3)(x+2)=0 so

there is only two points where it will cut x axis , i.e 3,0 and -2 , 0

so IMO = C

(1) a = 15/b

(2) (a - b)2 = 4
a-b=2 , a-15/a=2 => a^2 -2A-15=2 => (A-5) (A+3)=0 , a= 5 or -3 so b= 3 or -5

IMO -E

Hi

IMO - E ,
as it clear that A, B , D gone just by seeing two options

so We left with C or E , now
combine - equation - A^2-2.A-15=0 give a= 5 or 3 , so b= -3 or -5

so( A+B ).2= +16 or -16

hence E
