As far as I know, you can't download the old Powerprep tests from mba.com anymore. They're a few years old, and aren't truly adaptive like the current test, so I wouldn't necessarily take them. Download the GMATPrep tests and use those. You can try reinstalling it once to retake the tests, but you m...

You scores seem to be pretty consistent, so I think you are freaking yourself out for nothing. Stop worrying about it so much...the anxiety will affect your performance on the real thing. You're doing FINE.

First, welcome to the forum! Second, my hat's off to you...you spent a good amount of time here, read through the threads, and devised an excellent study plan based on what you learned here. If only more newbies did that. This bodes well for your success on the GMAT, my friend! Diligence is a fabulo...

Have you started taking practice tests yet? I would take one of your PR tests to see where you stand. How long is it taking you to do your practice questions?
btw I would NOT use Kaplan's verbal workbook. Kaplan is not particularly good for verbal. PR is better.

Manhattan Review tries to rip off the good name of Manhattan GMAT. They're hoping people will think they're MGMAT when they're not. I thought MGMAT was suing them about that...Stacey, what's the scoop?

What you need to do is review the questions on the practice tests that you're getting wrong. What kinds of errors are you making? Don't just pick up another guide...figure out what's wrong first.

You should spend some more time in the forums reading other threads, because if you did, you'd see this is a common occurrence. :-) Kaplan tests tend to be a lot harder than the real test, and the scoring algorithm isn't quite as good either. Your Princeton Review test should be a much better indica...

Don't read a whole lot into your Kaplan scores...they tend to underestimate your potential by a substantial amount. The tests can be good practice, but they're a lot harder than the real thing, and verbal especially is way off. Don't use them for your primary prep. Use GMATPrep (essential!!!) and Pr...

I think you're starting way too early, even if you had 15 years instead of 16 years of school. If you study for the GMAT for that long, you'll burn out. If you need a lot of help, I would say take a prep class instead of prepping for that many months. You'll get better results.

I don't think a one-month course is long enough. You need time to learn the strategies, master the fundamentals, and bring both together to nail the GMAT. A two-month class would definitely be better. Classroom or online...depends on you and how well you learn in a class setting with others vs. on t...

There's a thread on here where Stacey from Manhattan GMAT wrote about the scoring myth...if it's not a sticky, search for "score" and "myth" and see if you can find it. She essentially says that the first handful of questions aren't weighted more than the rest, but she explains h...
