If you apply through the consortium, then that's not too many. I applied to 6. Five in round 1 and one in round 2. People at work told me that was too many, but my MLT coach actually encouraged me to apply to that many. It's not uncommon for MLTers or Consortium applicants to apply to that many scho...

I'll reply to those of you who messaged me individually, but just a couple of notes for those waitlisted or rejected since a few people have asked me the same questions: Regarding what you can do now: 1. Finish the GMAT. Just do it. I know private tutors are expensive, but so is b-school. A tutor is...

Congrats to those who made it. I just finished MLT MBA Prep, and I can confidently tell you that it is a transformative and amazing experience. You will work your butt off, but you will be thankful for it in the end. I've been offered a full scholarship to a top 10 school. I credit MLT with supporti...

Thanks Brent. The 710 is actually satisfactory, it's just the balance of the sub-scores that is not, and the fact that I have taken the test twice now and my official quant scores haven't been even close to my practice test quant scores.

Thought I'd be happy with 710

I scored a 710 on the official test. Unfortunately, my scores are completely imbalanced: Q39 (48%), V48(99%). On practice tests from MGMAT and GMATPrep, my quant score has fluctuated between 44-47. Therefore, the Q39 is highly upsetting. To top it off, this was my second official test. The first tim...

Horacio Quiroga GMAT Tutor Review?

Has anyone worked with Horacio Quiroga for private online GMAT tutoring? I've read some really good reviews on him, but I'd like some more info before I schedule a meeting.
Namely, how expensive is he? Was online tutoring effective, or should I go with in person tutoring?

No, unfortunately there is not.

It's too late now, but the next time you take a GMATPrep test, try taking screenshots of the problems before you close the software, then you can review the screenshots later.

MGMAT Recalibration

Has anyone taken the official exam or GMATPrep along with MGMAT's new re-calibrated tests? If so, how did your scores compare?

Reset or Reinstall GMATPrep

What's the difference between resetting GMATPrep versus reinstalling the software? Since there is a button below the test scores to reset (and take the tests a second time), why would I want/need to reinstall the software?

Thanks for the replies. I'm more curious about trends in score differences rather than the effects of test day anxiety. I understand that anxiety may result in a lower overall score. However, from these forums, it seems that the difference between expected and actual verbal scores is typically great...

It depends on each school. I'd recommend you call the schools and directly ask someone about their specific policies. If you have the time and feel confident that you can get a higher score, I think you should retake it. If you get waitlisted, having a higher score would be a positive way to strengt...

Your study plan will be significantly affected by your current performance level. Have you taken a diagnostic test yet? If so, what was your baseline score? The MGMAT guides + OG will be sufficient if you've already mastered the basics. Also, make sure that you are setting a realistic schedule for y...

Have you considered waiting to apply until next year? It will be challenging to bring your score up to a competitive level for top-10 schools in only 1 month. And, given that this will be your 4th time taking the test, you will likely not want to take it again if you don't see the results you're hop...
