Educated Guess
Ok, So I have tried all sort of timing strategies, none of them seems to work. I tried a combination of 2 minutes/ quant question and a 10 minute/5 quant questions. None seems to work. I have already failed a GMAT test simply because my timing strategy was absolutely awful and lagged with 10-12 minu...

560 (Q40, V27)-Disappointment
Ok! I haven't been an active member of the community, especially not in these past few months. I come from a background of Quant&Verbal- Politics and Economics graduate. I know that everyone who posts over here is an overachiever and the score looks like a nightmare, but here's my story. I got i...

Speed and Endurance
Ok, I have two issues that I consider to be major. First one is related to speed in the Quant Section. I can basically solve any problem given by the GMAT, but sometimes I find myself lingering over 3 minutes on a complicated problem. I need a strategy that will help tackle the GMAT Quant section fa...

Time Strategy
I am not sure if this question was asked before, but here it goes:
If say I spend 5 minutes on a really hard question, but I still get it right, will the test consider it was too much for me, regardless and lower my overall score?

I have recently finished going through the Kaplan Math Workbook and took a GMAT Prep Test. I noticed a worrying trend. I underperform massively in Data Sufficiency Questions. I got an overall score of 640 in the GMAT Prep Test and I must say that out of the 13 questions I answered wrong on quant, o...

I have achieved a score of 570 on one of those practice tests. I am looking to score around 750+ during exam day. What now? This is very unimpressive. I will require extensive preparation in order to reach the 750+ barrier I am aiming for, I failed miserably in solving simple arithmetical problems o...

Thanks becky for the feedback!
Where can I find a complete and accurate practice test? Study guides are out of discussion. My books haven't arrived yet, so I can't really find out where I'm standing until next week or so. Thanks!

Are there any other practice materials on this topic, apart from the OG and Kaplan books? Also, why is this topic discounted from the overall score? Clearly, from what I have read- it seems to cover some important aspects that business schools want to see in candidates.

Study Strategy
Dear all, I am looking for advises on a general study strategy. I must warn you that I have not had any interference with the GMAT before so please bear with me and provide me with some general guidelines on how to do things, what books to get, etc. I will be sitting the test somewhere around mid-su...
