simple interest
Can someone please clarify when to use this formulae; if the principal is P, interest is R and time the interest accrued is t; Principal after time T = P(1+R)^t ; R in decimal. My question is, I assume this formuale is only applicable to simple interest? Also, is this applicable to any "special...

algebric approach?
I was wondering if there is an effective algebric approach without having to pick numbers to solve this question, especially while considering both the statements together. if x and y are positive integers, is 2x a multiple of y? 1) 2x + 2 is a multiple of y 2) y is a multiple of x Appreciate anyone...

Answer is indeed 1.4x.
I later solved the problem by picking numbers(I choose value of 4 for X ) and I found that to be easier instead of calculating basing it off X.

Standard deviation
My approach was, I got mean of 100 and then SD was 22.4 or 22. So, 1SD less than 100 was 78 and the question I thought was asking for how many times are more then 78, obvisouly I went wrong somewhere. Appreciate anyones response.

IMO:A, if "by" is not underlined. If "by" is underlined , then it's Choice C since "by sugest" doesn't make sense.

I don't think the sentence is doing any comparison here. But are you saying to read it as "In addition to......fossil record" and don't worry about anything after the preposition.
