Apart from "attention attraction" reason, is there any other reason involving "without static images and monochrome colors" or modifier errors to eliminate this option ?

The opening modifier should modify "the ailing mobster". "a town famous because of the “The Godfather� and near to those he most trusted" - modifies Corleone

Can we eliminate D and E for meaning change ?
"littering of orbits" sounds very odd to me... I think, It should have been "littering in orbits" or "littered" as in B and C
Can someone comment on this ?

When you have an action and a specific time mentioned, we should use only simple past tense for that action. Perfect tense is wrong. Eliminate C and E
