@ Opponent: Not sure about that. I just had the Old Gmat software I am guessing. It was the one with the IR. I am not a software techie but I guess its on a JAVA platform. My question is: Are managers synonymous with management. Couldn't a companys management not be different from including only its managers?

The verb is met and the parallelism indicator is and.... to play is an infinitive. Hence the parallel element in part 2 of the statement must be a past tense verb: took
