I do agree with you but hemant_rajput says OA is E Thanks 77. What is the value of x^2 + y^2 ? (1) x^2 + y^2 = 2xy + 1 (2) x^2 + y^2 = 4 - 2xy Statement 1: x² - 2xy + y² = 1. (x-y)² = 1. Thus, x-y = 1 or x-y = -1. No way to determine the value of x² + y². INSUFFICIENT. Statement 2: x² + 2xy + ...

Hello. Could you please explain the underlined statement in the solution. Thanks. Let us assume the number of students majoring in math, physics, chemistry, biology, and engineering are m, p, c, b, and e, respectively. So, m:p = 5:3 and p:c = 5:8 ---> m:p:c = 25:15:24 As, (m + p + c + b + e) = 100, ...

Hello Could you please submit the entire question? Would be helpful for us to understand. Thanks. You're absolutely right. |7| - |-1| = 7 - 1 = 6 However, the equation is |a| - |b| = 6 So, it seems that a = 7 and b = -1 is a solution to the equation. The incorrect part is stating that |7| - |-1| = 8...

I have simplified the Statement - 2 in the following way: Given : x > 10^5 Question: Is x > 3^10? ( or x > 9^5) Because 3^10 can be written as 9^5 as 3^10 = (3*3)*(3*3)*(3*3)*(3*3)*(3*3). Now, if x > 10^5 then it is certain that x > 9^5. So SUFFICIENT. Thanks. Is x > 3^10 ? (1) x > 3^12 - 3^4 (2) x ...
