If you're taking the test within seven days, I don't really see any advantage in cancelling - go and take it. You'll get the actual test center experience, you'll be able to see how you perform in that type of pressure situation, and you won't have just flushed $250 down the toilet! I don't see any ...

The GMAT guide is good, definitely get it at some point as it is an excellent resource for official questions. If your quant level is as low as you seem to think (I didn't take the GRE but am fairly certain that the GMAT is a lot tougher as my wife took the GRE and seemed totally lost when I asked h...

Incredibly pleased with my results, a 110 point jump is something I'm very proud of.

I'll post my actual debrief tomorrow evening. I'm taking it at 4pm tomorrow and am beyond nervous. But I wanted to give anyone who read these original posts an update. I stopped continually updating it just because I got so busy with work, studying and working on applications but I went through the ...

Hey Brent, Thanks for the response- I really like the GMATPrepNow videos. I'm asking this for two reasons: the first is sheer curiosity, I know the direction in which more advanced quant problems head, the advanced SC questions are fairly obvious as well, and the advanced CR questions get a bit hard...

So I finally made it through section 6 which means I hit my second CAT- I feel like I'll be revisiting this section as it really helped me a ton. I've had a bunch of books and I've taken another online course before, but Knewton is really the first one where I feel like I keep a good portion of the ...

Question about difficulty in RC questions
Hi everyone, I was wondering how the difficulty level increases in RC questions. Do the passages themselves get more and more convoluted as your score increases? Do just the questions get more difficult? Or is it a combination of the two? I find myself improving at RC questions pretty quickly and wo...

Awesome job on your first test! Your quant score is extremely impressive but there are probably ways to improve your verbal! Reading comp is designed to be tricky, wordy, boring, confusing- you just need to get used to reading passages that aren't necessarily the most interesting. Some of them can b...

Aside from the free videos Brent mentioned, which are a terrific resource, the only book I know of that is solely dedicated to DS questions is Veritas' book. You can find it on their online store. It's a little bit more than $20 but comes with 5 free CATs so those free practice tests make it worth y...

I've only tackled a few of these sample questions so far and have done fairly well. I haven't encountered one where I needed to use a calculator yet and prefer not to use one at all. In your experience, are there problems where it is necessary to use a calculator or can you get away with just using ...

I've had a lot of things going on lately and definitely wouldn't have it any other way. It's kind of late to go for anything new, but I'd recommend going over your old tests and seeing what you did wrong. Try to re-do those problems if you haven't already. If you have, do them again, or look for similar problems of the same type.
Good luck!!

Welcome, You're probably going to need it for whatever level you're at, I'd recommend starting with the Official Guide for GMAT Review. This book has assessment tests and gives you an overview of the test. Once you get that book, you should have an idea of what you really need to work on. From there...
