I have not taken the LSAT, so I might not be the best person to advise you on it, but just my 2 cents: I have studied the CR and RC from the LSAT books and the GMAT RC’s are no match to the LSAT RC’s…. The CR’s, I would say are relatively closer to the GMAT, but you would see tough parallel ...

Getting better...( 380 to 500)
I know this is a wrong section, but looks like there is some improvement in my scores to post it here? LOL... If not, moderators feel free to move it.. I gave my GMAT in March 2010 and scored a 380 ( Q:27,V:17)....I don't know what happened... I took some time off and then studied on an on-off basis...

Is the answer A?
If yes, then sum = average * # ( no. of terms) ----- (1)
Average = ( -203+200)/2 = -3/2
I am assuming that we are counting these #'s as inclusive, then:
no. of terms = ( Last - first) +1
= (200 -(-203))+1 = 404
substitute the above in (1) you get -606.

Brian,
Thanks so much for your reply. It does make sense when you actually try to understand the concept behind it rather than memorizing the equation or formula. I will try using it and setting up equations.
Thanks again.

work/rate problems.
Hello,
I have identified work/rate problems as my biggest hurdle on Quant. Not that, I cannot do it, but I would like to get natural at it. My pen should work as soon as I see a problem and that can only be done with PRACTICE.
Do ya'll know any resource/book?
Thank you.

Ok... putting end to the suspense...
I have seen this problem on the MGMAT exam and hence looked up for it on the MGMAT forums as the Original poster has not included the OA.
The correct answer is A.

I will go with D.
Please see... that A looks appealing, but it says " all foods " and we are only concerned about Fries.
D looks more precise.
what is the OA ?

Try using Heron's formula.
Heron's formula is used to find area of a triangle when you know all three sides.

Be careful !! I gave my GMAT last week and my VERY 1ST question on the GMAT was from Permutation/combination !! How odd is that ? and guess what ? I did not study it at all and ended up guessing my very 1st question on quant. Panic struck and it just downhill from there ( all this is immaterial )......
