Not to be completely clueless but...when it is correct to use “would + verb root tense?" Is it for the subjunctive mood?

I think about rescheduling the test actually in May. I just want to take it before all the changes in June. I think the Manhattan class so far has been helpful because it'll keep be on the right track of what I need to study. I was thinking about getting a tutor, too. Probably a math tutor.

8 weeks until my test
I just took a practice test yesterday and bombed it with a 460. I was wondering if its realistic to gain roughly 200 more points in 8 weeks. I've done the Powerscore CR Bible, Aristotle SC, and the Manhattan SC books. Granted I didn't know any of the math, I feel like if I focus on that I'll get bet...
