one person's speed is between 25 and 45 and he used 4 hrs,the speed of the other person is between 45 and 60 and he used 2 hours This tells us that the speed of the second person is twice that of first. possible combination are: 26 52 27 54 28 56 29 58 Distance traveled will be 26*4 or 52*2 If u go ...

(1/5)^m*(1/4)^18=1/2(10)^35

if m = 35

(1/5)^35*(1/2^36)
=(1/5^35)*(1/2^36)
= 1/5^35*2^35*2
= 1/(5*2)^35 * 2
= 1/2(10)^35

it can't be 17 for sure..

boys and choc 8, girls and str 9

if total is 30 and nobody had both then 8+9= 17
30 - 17 = 13

It shud be A cause q asks what is maximum possible count.
and (I) itself gives us 13

IMO C. I) Take x = 5 and y = 3 x - y > 0 and x + y > 0 Take X = 5 and y = -7 x - y > 0 but x + y < 0 Insuff II) Take x = 5 and y = 3 x^2 - y^2 > 0 and x + y > 0 Take x = -5 and y = -3 x^2 - y^2 > 0 but x + y < 0 but if (I) & (II) both are true then x has to be greater than y and both shud be pos...

I'm not sure if its a quick solution...
but i have a solution.

Take x = 2

1. f(x) = -1
2. f(x) = -3
3. f(x) = 3
4. f(x) = 4
5. f(x) = -1

Since f(x) = f(1-x)

2-1 = -1

now for x = -1

1. f(x) = 2
2. f(x) = 0
3. f(x) = -1
4. f(x) = 4
5. f(x) = -1/2

for Option 4 f(x) = f(1-x)

choose(d)

5/x > 3/80

400 > 3x

400/3 > x

133.333 > x

therefore the greatest possible integer value for x is 133.
