This is what I did to get a 710

I worked with a great online tutor, who identified my weaknesses, and helped me score 50 more points, a 710 on my 3rd attempt..Sometimes you just need an expert's help.

Just in response to all those who have posts on how to improve their performance and cross a 700..
good luck

Seems like you need more time.Re-schedule, what's the hurry?
You tell the gmat when, not the other way around :)

If you have only taken the test once or twice, and since there is time for R1/R2 deadlines, I would suggest that you take the test again and try to score a 90%+.

One way that will drastically increase your chances of success is to use an expert private tutor who has great reviews and a proven track record. It really helped me pinpoint my weaknesses and get over my threshold. Check out some of my older posts.

If your target is a 700 and you are scoring 450-500, you might be better off postponing the test and reassessing your strategy..don't lose heart my friend.

Hey Mlj,

I went by my tutor- Horacio's reputation (see above),and his natural ability to teach, which I gauged from his free session. He helped me boost my score 50 points. Let me know if you have questions...

I understand there are some 158 new math problems..might not be a bad idea to get it.. you could create a self test and do a series of problems and time your self..bottom line, you are unlikely to learn anything new, its just practice and testing your skills from your GMAT tool kit..good luck
