I started by reviewing the math material (worked for 5 years and forgot quite some of the basics) as it proved useless trying to work on the problems without having the right basis. Also, the tested material is relatively limited. I found that reviewing the math sections of Barrons, Kaplan's 800 and...

760 but horrible AWA :-(
Got 760 on my GMAT but really messed up quant (89%); did great on the verbal section, but got a very disappointing 4.5 on AWA. Hope my application essays can get me out of that. I mainly used the OG for studying, though preferred Kaplan's math review and GMAT 800 book. Usually got all math right, so...

1995 1000*(1+x/100)*(1+y/100)=1000*(1+x/100+y/100+xy/10000) ==> the number in the parenthesis is just multiplying out (1+x/100)*(1+y/100) Then, you have given x+y+xy/100=9.2 ==> divide by 100 and you get x/100+y/100+xy/1000=0.092 ==> replace this in the first line and you get 1000*(1+0...

(1) does not give enough info to say what x or y is
(2) Absolut numbers are always positive; this statement says that the absolute number is smaller than -y (y=positive, so - y is a negative number); the only nuber for that to work is if x-3 = 0 and y=0, x is therefore 3
B is answer

q6 (1) alone is not sufficient, does not tell us anything about (u,v) (2) try to insert number in 1: could be u=5, r=-4 and v=5, s=-4 i.e not equidistant or u=2, r=-1 and v=-1, r=2 i.e. equidistant If you combine that with statement (1) you will see that all pairs are equidistant; just try a couple ...
