I got a PM about this post so I wanted to respond. There isn’t a whole lot I can add on top of what Ron has already pointed out. He's quite the GMAT wizard you know :). How to actually review, and how often should it be? How to review There are probably as many ways to study / review as there are ...

I'm loving this lively discussion. Luke - what did you decide to do after all? EMBA, Full-time, or Part-time? I think you would make a strong candidate for the top full-time programs--as long as you can tie the whole narrative together. Inquiring minds want to know... Phew! Well, I am still alive. ...

Private Equity, Schools and other things

This may be wildly off topic for this subforum but I figured someone might be able to lend some advice... I had diner with a friend the other night and he encouraged me to expand my options as far as programs go. I briefly described some of the things I like and he suggested to me to look into priva...

When you read an argument, how good are you at being able to identify the WRITTEN parts of the argument (premise, counter-premise, conclusion)? How good are you at being able to identify the UNWRITTEN parts of the argument (assumptions)? That would be a starting point. If you can't identify which st...

(A) is a trap answer. Invert it and you will see why. "Rattlesnakes do not molt exactly once per year" This doesn't weaken the conclusion. They could molt twice per year and the conclusion would still follow from the premises. Now try inverting (E) "Rattlesnakes do not molt as often w...

Kellogg EMBA and Rolling Admissions

Kellogg's EMBA program states that it has rolling admissions and gives no dates for application. Whats the strategy for timing in those situations? The earlier the better? (Assuming that the application has been given its due effort)

Congratulations on your achievement! 770 is an awesome score. Few questions on your preparation. Btw, I have similar score on the practice test and I need to raise my level. -- How many months did you put in. -- Did you straight jump into the OG after finishing all MGMAT books? -- What book did you...

In my first two takings, I simply assumed that the OG questions were too easy for me, and so I only did the last 50 or so questions in each section. Big mistake. When I first started going through the OG, I realized that it was actually the questions of moderate difficulty that I was getting wrong....

When you say you went long, I know that Quants are ~2 minutes per questions. What about verbal? I mean the first RC question is always going to take you substantially longer, and SC will be much shorter. Did you have a guideline for timeframes for each type of question? That's a good question. I th...

Without an analysis of your initial weaknesses its hard to tell you what to get. I would suggest taking a practice test BEFORE buying materials. It could be, for example, that your reading comprehension is already stellar and thus there is no need to invest in strategy materials for it. However, fro...

Saw the post in your sig, awesome! And congrats! I've always been fairly even in terms of my strength in Quant vs. Verbal as you can see in my test score. As it's been awhile since I took it I'm going to need to get back into it and see where I am. It's hard to identify weaknesses because I'm kind ...

Is this a right approach though? I aint denying that i used the same approach but in statement I we are getting many solutions and hence insufficient. Likewise in Statement II ; however the answer is B You could also look at (1) from a purely equational point of view (is equational a word?) From th...
