Is 107 TOEFL okay for Columbia?
Hi,
Columbia has no guidelines for the TOEFL score, however do you have an idea of the approximate class average?
Is 107 too low as it is for HBS or for Columbia is good?
Thanks.

Thanks Alex! Any insights on what Columbia does better? In the rankings that you gave, it seems that Columbia has a good position for Finance, Management, Marketing, and another couple of areas, plus I know that many people from consultancy go there. Since these are all quite different areas, is the...

Avg. of 20, 60, and 100 is (100+20+60)/3 = 60
60 is 10 more than 50
If 50 is the avg. of 3 numbers, their sum is 3x50 = 150
What is missing to 40 + 80 to get to 150 is 30 (E)

I'll try again: TOEFL and Business Schools
Hi, I have a couple of questions about TOEFL: 1. If I don't select the business schools before the test, can I send the score anyway afterwards as with GMAT? 2. If yes, and if I don't select any schools and decide to send the score only after the second attempt, will the schools see all the previous...

Hi, thanks for your reply. However, I don't understand your last sentence: "y-x is definitely less than 0.0005 as 0.0005 is greater than 0.00005".
Isn't y-x < 0.00005 already what we were looking for?
Thanks.

If 0<x<y, is y-x < 0.00005
If 0<x<y, is y-x < 0.00005
(1) x>1/60,000
(2) y<1/15,000
I can't find the solution because I transform 1/60,000 into 1/6x10^5, which I transform into 6^10^-5. Can you tell me where I'm wrong? OA is C. Thanks

HI eagleeye,
thanks for you reply. However, if we can multiply both sides without changing the inequality why did you change from < to > ? Could you please clarify? Thanks.
Thanks.
