this was the prob.
and it had both the options x as well as -x
however, i came across in the OG that root of a no will always be positive...
so sq root(9) will be 3
and therefore i think, sq root of (-3*-3) will also be 3

Drop a Perpendicular from origin (which is also the center of the circle) on the line. The slope will be -1/m1 where m1 is the slope of the line given.
Get the coordinates
Find the distance X (from the origin)
so frm center it will be ... X- Radius of the circle which is 1

if x<0 , then Sq.Root(-x*|x|) is
x or -x ??
Do we always take the square root of 4 as 2 on GMAT or -2 is also a correct choice !!!

I second that it is a general rule but then slight distinctions between em can be of great help in my quest ...
I do have the dictionaries etc but then all i want is a list where in one can appreciate the differences between these word(s)

Just as, like ,Since, because however, even if , even though and so on and so forth !!!
I am unable to figure out a logic for the same...
