i think C can be interpreted as : centipedes lived on land areas (mud flats) which were sometimes covered by water and hence fossils or water dwelling animals were also found. yes both B and C look correct. But i think B stretches the imagination a bit far by predicting past graduates etc. The passage may be talking about present graduates. we don't know! and again we are guilty of supposing.... C is definitely correct by use of the word "possible" in it's state...

The OA is D.
But I think E is more suitable.
D suggests that anyone with a psychology degree will have completed a experimental design course. But this does not seem to be implied in the argument. A psychology degree could involve other courses as well other than experimental design.
