Hi Abhi, I am a non-native speaker, so let me share my experience. When I answer a quant question, I know whether my answer is right or wrong - no two ways about it (a silly mistake could do us in, of course). However, in verbal section, I am never sure of the right answer. Unfortunately for me, all...

Mine is not a success story(BTG doesn't agree though. It is adding the tag GMAT success stories. lol). But rather I would like to share some of the mistakes I have done hoping the readers will avoid these mistakes. Mistakes I have done 1. Not finishing the official material 2. Dear Experts, Please suggest the list of schools I should look at after going through my profile. Indian/IT/Male/29 GMAT : 700(Q49, V35, AWA5). First attempt. I am confident of improving this score as I didn't take the test in ideal conditions. I will retake GMAT only if it is not effecting the appl...

First thing you should do is to take GMAT prep I. No other test will give you your true level than this. Take the test. Analyze the test in DEPTH. How the questions are asked? How you are answering them? In what content areas you lack the required knowledge? Where do you need more practice? How your...

2. Lets look at the second case:
x/y < 1
so: x < y
This is wrong. You can't mulitply or divide variables in inequalities unless you know the sign of the variable. Look at ripulgupta's explanation.
