For this Statement 1 is insufficient [4x^2 - 4y^2]/[2(x+y)] = 2x - 2y (as a^2 - b^2 = (a+b)(a-b)) therefore, 2x - 2y = 2x -2y, which is true but there is no value for x and y. Hence x+y cannot be determined. Statement 2 is also insufficient as it gives the value of 3x+2y=24, but individually we wont...

p = 501*503*..........597
q = 501*503*..........597*599*601
hence,
q = p * 599*601
p = q/(599*601)
1/p + 1/p = (599*601)/q + 1/q =
360000/q
Hence the answer is D

Here, we have
a1 = 0
a2 = 3
Therefore,
a3=|a1|-|a2|= |0|-|3| = -3
a4=|a2|-|a3|=|3|-|-3|=3-3=0
So the values follow the sequence -3,0,3
and this sequence continues....
Therefore Sum of a1+a2+...a101 - > 3
Hence the answer is C

From Statement (1) we get: - As z has a unit digit of 4, then plugging values for x,y we can have many solution for x. For example Let x = 2, and y = 2. then we have z = 4, Again let x = 4 and y = 3 then z = 64. So Statement 1 is insufficient. From Statement (2) we get: - As y is odd, there is nothi...

From Statement (1) we have: (x+y)^2 = 4xy So, x^2+y^2+2xy = 4xy So, x^2+y^2-2xy = 0 So, (x-y)^2 =0 =>x-y = 0 So, Statement 1 is Sufficient From Statement (2) we have: (x^2 - y^2)=0 So,(x+y)(x-y) = 0 So, Either x+y = 0 or x-y =0 or both are equal to zero So, Not sufficient to find the value of (x-y) ...
