I do not think that the results are so unrealistic that it can be ignored. Kaplan Verbal are much tougher than GMAT Prep or any other test prep companies verbal. I do not agree with the official answer here... infact the best one is D.

the result - "had sold twice as many copies of movies on tape as all the other stores in town had sold on DVD of the same movies" --- so the relative number of movies won't make any difference.

What is the source ?

Moreover "which" has limited applicability in GMAT --- for non essential relative clause and object of a preposition. Eliminate B -- S-V error. Left with C. ...

The instances of "it," as far as I can see, have no antecedent. They are expletives, so don't require an antecedent.

I was struck between A & C Can you please explain what is wrong with C? Is it just wordy? Or there is some other solid reasoning to eliminate it? "which" has limited application in GMAT - 1. for non-essential modifier 2. as an object of a perposition. in C --- "which" is used for essential modifier...

At a second glance, I don't think it's a modifier issue. At least not to the extent that you could cross it out for that. HOWEVER, there is a definite improvement in clarity/meaning if we put Josephine Baker directly after the opening phrase, for the reasons that have now been stated ad nauseam. :)...

Adverbs are supposed to modify Verbs, Adjectives and other adverbs (not Nouns). an adverb modifies an action (verbs, participles.....) and the noun in turn performs the action. So an adverb modifies the action, while the a...
