Thanks for the clarificaiton, Yes, now I understand. Nevertheless, what are the odds that a rescore will give you a different score?...I guess, any difference will be negligible. I am just wondering how many people are using this option in increasing their score in a positive way... Cheers. Ivo. If...

What do you mean by re-scoring?, I assume you are refering to re-taking the test? Re scoring means telling IELTS to get that section checked again by a different examiner. The fees for re scoring is almost equal to the fees for booking an IELTS date. If the score increases, you get full refund, els...

Regina returned the dress that was torn at one of the seams to the store In the above sentence, the meaning which the author intends to convey is changed. Here, it seems that seams was returned to store. So, it is incorrect. Sahil, I don't think the meaning has been impacted. The part marked in Blu...

Price of package last year = P
Price of package this year = P + 40% of P = P + 0.4*P = 1.4*P

Since Lucas got a 30% discount at this year's price, so he has to pay 70% of the price of the package this year.
Price paid by Lucas to buy the package = 70% of (1.4*P) = 0.98*P

So, the correct answer is E

I think here meaning should also be taken into consideration along with the modifier. Regina returned the dress, which was torn at one of the seams, to the store. In the above sentence "which was torn at one of the seams" is a modifier. If we remove this modifier, the sentence makes a perf...

The Black Death, a severe epidemic that ravaged

The Black Death, a severe epidemic that ravaged fourteenth century Europe, has intrigued scholars ever since Francis Gasquet's 1893 study contending that this epidemic greatly intensified the political and religious upheaval that ended the Middle Ages. Thirty-six years later, historian George Coulto...

Hi suheb, I am too aiming for a score around 700. In my opinion, if you are able to maintain the same accuracy in your mock tests and on the real exam, then you have a good chance of getting 700. But, usually on the mocks and specifically on the real exam, your accuracy might dip because you would a...

Yes, I am too receiving emails from them. This is just an acknowledgement mail. These emails are common and you shouldn't worry about them. If you are preparing again for the GMAT, go right ahead. If your score increases, then schools will consider your new score and the old score won't have any aff...

An accuracy of 74% in CR (OG13) is fair enough if you have done it for the first time.
Practising more from other books such as Verbal Review 2nd Edition will help you further increase your accuracy.

Go ahead and give a mock test and check your results.

Prior to 1965 geologists assumed that the two giant rock plates meeting at the San Andreas Fault generate heat through friction as they grind past each other, but in 1965 Henyey found that temperatures in drill holes near the fault were not as elevated as had been expected. Some geologists wondered ...

IR is not a game changer in the GMAT application. The quant, verbal and the GMAT score are the major criterion. If you are satisfied with your GMAT score and think that you would be able to get into the school of your choice, then there is nothing to worry because your breakup score is also good. An...

In my opinion, a 5 on the IR is an good score. Since, you have an excellent score on the GMAT, you won't face any issues while applying to top B schools, since your quant score can very much compensate for that.

Are you planning to apply for Fall 2014 or later?
