lets rewrite the equation

((3^8n)*(25+2)+2 )
3^8n*25 is divisible by 5 so we can drop it from further calculation

(3^8n)*2 + 2 = (9*9*9*9)*2+2 = (81*81)*2 +2 last digit of 81*81 = 1
so remainder = 1*2+2 = 4 hence E

given wx= y
so w(x^2) = xy

Statement 1

w(x^2) = 4
so xy = 4
sufficent

Statement 2

y = 4
wx = y = 4 but we neither know w nor x so not sufficient.

1/x = 1/(x+a) + 1/x+b
=> x(x+a+x+b) = (x+a)(x+b)
> x^2 = ab > x = sqrt(ab).

We know the price of most expensive = 50 next most expensive = 20

lets say 3 most expensive is 1

so total discount = 10 + 2 + .1 = $12.1
15% of 71 = 10.65

so if even at the lowest price the % is more than 15 hence statement 1 is sufficient.

in 30 min Rich covers = 15 miles
So in 3 hrs Carla has to cover 15 miles extra i.e. 5 miles every hr.
So her speed should be 30 + 5 =35 hence A.

Answer is B

total weight of water = 99 pounds
total weight of cucumber san water = 1 pound

After evoparation
let say total weight is x

So 2*x/100 = 1 => x = 50

From satatement 1
x* = x(x-1) = x => x(x-2) = 0 hence x = 0 , 2
in sufficient

From statement 2
(x - 1 )* = (x - 2) => (x-1)(x-2) = (x-2) => (x-2)^2= 0
=> x = 2
sufficient.

statement 1 says x < 0 hence |x|+ x = 0 hence statement 1 is sufficient. Statement 2 says y < 1 which means |x| + x < 1 had x been an integer statement 2 wouls have been sufficient but there is no such constraint on x so x can be anything less then 1/2 so value of y is not fixed. So statement 1 alon...
