Guys, can anyone tell me how difficult is to get through a VC/PE firm ? And do these firms go only to H/S/W ? Frankly VC/PE firms are the most difficult to get through in a business school. Thank you all for your wishes. I consulted quite a few people and have decided that I won't be retaking the GMAT now. The feedback I got was that though 3.5 doesn't inspire a lot of confidence, but my good GMAT score will more than dispel the fears of the schools.

do you think AdCom will care about your AWA score when you hit 41 in verbal? This is just ridiculous and you did right think by focusing on quant and verbal stuff of exam. If some one will have to speak out your AWA score vs. Verbal score - usually these two are not matched, but here it's relevant ...

Got the AWA score and as expected it is a pathetic 3.5. Phew! I don't know what to do. Has anyone seen a case like mine where the GMAT score is high and the AWA score is low.

Make sure that you take into consideration the Euro zone crisis while selecting the schools. Jobs are a little difficult to get at the moment especially for the international candidates. And seems like it'll take a few years for the economies to be back in shape. So weigh your options judiciously. ...

It seems like some people get everything and some others struggle for even one thing. Archie is a case in point for the first part and probably I for the second part!

I agree with Paul. St Gallen is a regional kind of school and not many people know about it so doesn't carry that kind of brand value. I'd prefer waiting for the top 10 european schools even if i have to wait for one more year
