I didn't do the MGMAT tests so I can't comment on those other than to say I've heard the same thing, but I did do the Princeton tests and those felt pretty good. My first real GMAT score was very close to my last PR test score.

Actually, a classroom course would probably really help you, or working with a tutor. An online course when you're struggling probably isn't going to be as effective as sitting with an instructor, going over specific problem areas. So yeah, I'd definitely look into it.

Another option is Princeton Review's online course. I took it and it rocked. You can chat real-time with the instructors; I can't tell you how awesome that was. They also track your progress and tailor the lessons to your performance so you can focus on weak areas. You can still do any drill wheneve...

Nope, it doesn't matter what order, but I agree with Eric (beatthegmat moderator) about using GMATPrep tests first and last.

I took Princeton Review's online course and wholeheartedly recommend them, either classroom or online (I had access to the instructors through the online chat and they were awesome). The practice drills were excellent (the online drills are tailored to your performance) and the materials in general ...

I did it!! 720 (45Q 43V)

Yessssss!!! I am finally done with this beast called the GMAT and won't ever have to look at another practice test again! 720 total score, with 45Q (78%) and 43V (97%). I am very pleased with my quant score, because that was the area I struggled in the most. I absolutely detest DS questions and anyt...

Actually, I am in the final stages of my prep...I take it this Friday!! (I haven't been on here a whole lot in the past week or so, gearing up.) This one is a retake. When I took my first GMAT, I was very rusty (I've been out of school for a while) and only did three practice tests with a little mat...

Yeah, I wouldn't do the Kaplan CATs, especially in the homestretch. They'll kill your confidence. Be careful on that with the MGMAT tests, too...they're much better than Kaplan, but everyone (even MGMAT themselves! LOL) says they're much harder than the real thing. FWIW I thought the PR tests were t...

Yes, PR does do live lectures...that course is called LiveOnline. I didn't do that one; I did the regular Online course. I didn't feel like I was missing out, though, because I essentially had one-on-one tutoring through the live chat, and the instructors who do the live chat are really awesome. It ...

I wouldn't take Kaplan. People complain about them here and on GMATClub.com all the time. I did Princeton Review's online course and their materials are FAR better. Manhattan GMAT is a sponsor on this site, so you'll probably see a lot about them too.
