I guess the question I was getting at is can I assume that the pool of applicants in MBA Watch is similar to the real pool of applicants (not to the pool of accepted applicants)? According to Eric, it sounds like the answer is yes, with a grain of salt. And that is good to know. In my case, this is ...

Top 3? Military (710, 3.5)

I would love to hear your thoughts on my profile: - 710 GMAT (73% Q, 93% V) - 3.5 GPA from reputable private school (GWU, BU, Tulane) - 5 years in the Army with tours to Iraq and Afghanistan to include combat experiences; currently stationed in Germany; extensive leadership positions concentrating o...

Are you sure the sample wouldn't be large enough to be representative? In some cases the amount of BTG members reporting their score and indicating they plan on applying that year is over 20% of the number of total applicants (assuming that the number of applicants is the same or close to the same a...

I had bad test anxiety during my first two tests, scoring 600 and 570. However, this time around I put a lot of effort in my emotional control during my prep and in particular prior to my practice tests. I downloaded meditation podcasts and would take 20-30 minutes a day to clear my mind before prac...

OMG I BTG (710!)

Final score: 710 (Q: 47, V: 41) I used the BTG 60-Day study guide. Though I didn't follow every lesson plan to a T, I highly suggest it if you are in need of structure. I'll say that the direction provided by the 60-day plan far outweighs what you'll receive from an online or in-person prep course. ...

Ya, I have to admit I found that assertion to be surprising. I wouldn't expect the GMAT to provide a guessing handicap for no reason. So ... I will stick with entirely random guesses on DS (if I am utterly clueless of course) instead of blindly picking C or E.

I just can't ever seem to do a problem like this in under two minutes. The arithmetic adds up (no pun intended).

For what it's worth my Veritas test score was 70 points lower than my two GMATPrep tests. Hoping to try some new CATs over the next few weeks.

Rate my AWA essay, please!

Prompt: The following appeared in a magazine article on trends and lifestyles. In general, people are not as concerned as they were a decade ago about regulating their intake of red meat and fatty cheeses. Walk into the Heart's Delight, a store that started selling organic fruits and vegetables and ...

You know this question confused me too. For some reason I just couldn't get past the "well what does it matter if they all choose the same number?" question. I never really recognized that all they wanted to know was if just one single number would have to be repeated, which obviously, it ...
