I am between A and B because "expectations that is the right word", but I feel that the answer choice A is in past tense and is therefore wrong but in B "would have been" is not good. It should have been "would more than double" ..........can you please check with B option........

Hi gmatmachoman,
Thank you for the suggestion, indeed the question is from OG 12, SC 16.
But, idea here to modify the answer of the question is to force the test taker to look for the other options!!!
As we all know, for the SC we need to choose the best answer among the answer choice and not the best answer in the world! Makers of the GMAT are intelligent enough to surprise you by modifying the popular answer!!
As per the OG 12, the answer choice D has no technical/grammatical error!
IMO D
All the best! & Happy GMATing

SO u intentionally tweaked the question? i dont think its a good idea then. people like me are still learning the nuances of SC and tweaking an SC answer choice that too from OG would confuse us more.sodha.rakesh wrote:Hi gmatmachoman,
